Me as a programmer...

This weekend, planned for the movie -"Tamil Padam".Heard its very comical one..I started checking some online bookings for the tickets..There wasnt any tickets in any good theatre. Desperate to kill my boredom, tried booking in a "ok type.." theatre..Movie plan was with my cousin.
As in any website, you can select your seats, I chose two and clicked next for the payment gateway. Only three seats were available by then..Then i realised i had chosen the wrong credit card type, as i couldnt navigate back opened a fresh window for booking. To my dismay those two seats were greyed out. Though i havent made payments on a selection, ticket is deemed to be booked..I thought, somewhere someone like me would be the programmer for this stupid site :-)
Then i refershed..refreshed..for some 10mins..nothing positive worked...
After sometime, tried in an other browser, and luckily it was available..So the programmer is now in a decent grade. If it hadnt worked in other browser, i would have cursed him/her even more badly..
If this is the case, once could click all the seats, and quit without making payemnts isnt, which would incur great loss to the theatre owner...
In yet another site, a drop down menu throwed an error -"null 0"..Again somewhere some programmer had written, and somewhere a tester like me had tested :-)
World is small, and we keep witnessing it!!

Just for gags

Dec, Jan is the peak season for all tax consultants....I am really bad at it..being in the industry for some 3 odd years now, i still find it very difficult to calculate my taxes and savings.
We were approached by one consultant ( it was a she)..me and my friend patiently listened to all those stuffs, as if were future ambanis..
She was explaining to us about an insurance scheme..these were her words "The insurance coverage is 15lakhs"..i was thinking if to tell it in a point blank way, "common dude if you die, your family would be paid 15L"..After explaining to us for almost some 10 or 15 odd mins, she asked us, do you have any questions..I kept quiet, smiled saying "nothing mam, will contact you if needed"..
Before i could finish, my friend asked her -" when will we get that 15L ( with a innocent tone)???"..
I really couldnt hide my laughter..but with patience , the consultant said "thats only in case of risk mam"..
even still i used to tease her , with the same odd tone " when will we get that 15L"..If she happened to read this piece, i would definetly end up getting a slap!!!

Traditional baby sitting!

I wonder, who is imposing violence to kids...we scare them saying "amachi kanna kuthidum, dont do this...".. "Puchandi vandutum, dont go here"..."if you do this, that uncle will take away the sweets from you"..ha ha...are these sayings ok????
And kids are epitome of patience..they always answer patiently to the question "un peru ena ma", even if you ask for the 100th time..Imagine someone asks you the samething the second or third time!!!
These are some wierd things but enjoyable ones which we live with....

Cup of coffee

Now having a sip of coffee at pantry or cafeteria isnt new, infact i just avoid these days.
When i was just into job, and when i was into my induction program, my company had asked my dad/mom to sign a bond letter. My dad stepped into my office. With lot of pride in my face, i took him to HR's cube. Then i took him to pantry, forced him to have a coffee..
Its the same office, same cube, the cup of coffee hasnt changed, but i do not cherish it the way i did it years before..

A wierd imagination

I always wish, the clock could freeze by friday evening or could stop working by sunday evenings...It would be awesome to have just two days in a week- the much awaited weekends - saturdays & sundays...Mondays are really threatening days of the weeks..Yeah and i do need month ends to get my pay package. :)
Yeah i know, this is too sellfish & crap thing. But still my crazy wish which could never be fullfilled ..
