My childhood games which i always miss

On gazing from my verandah, i always see that kids from my flats either play football, shuttle ....
I just wonder, where have the traditional games which i just loved had gone..
Dog and the bone, 7 stones , hide n seek, lock and key...I dont see anybody playing those these days...It looks like a lost treasure...
I do remember playing these games and i would not afford to miss my game by climbing the stairs for a glass of water. We just knock the doors of anyone in the groundfloor, those aunty and uncles are our saviours for quenching the thirst!!
Other sport which i had always loved to play is shuttle...Of 10 shots, 3 times the cock would either land up in the tree branches or in the window slabs....
we would just jump to grab the same but in vain...
Here again the passer-bys, the so called anna's and uncles come to our rescue..
I always wish, i could just have a rewind button and return to my childhood...

Temples at ecr

This writing is about some temples which i had visited recently in ecr...ECR is known for resorts, and enjoyable bike rides..But Indeed you have some places of spirutal interest as well...

There is a vishnu temple roughly 20kms from tiruvanmyur, Thiruvadanthai Nithya kalyana perumal...Its a very old historical temple...A very calm place....History of the temple is, a munivar (Forgot the name!) gets a blessing that, Lord Narayana would marry his daughter. He has 365 daughters and Lord Narayana marries each one daily, hence the name Nithya kalyana perumal ( meaning daily marriage)..Lord appears in varaha avatharam in that temple....

Moving on to the next place, is puri jagannathar temple...Its a very beautiful temple...One thing which observed is, in all the temples navargram would be in a circle. In this temple they appear in a straight line....Not sure of the reason though!!

Other temple which i had visited in the shiridi sai baba temple, this one too is constructed in a very vast area....very calm and soothing place to visit....they give prasadam every thursday and sunday!! So i was blessed with kesari as well...:)

A day's out..

Just like any other chennaite, who would like to spend the weekends, in world's second largest beach ( Maybe wrong here :-) ), started to marina ...Now the question will come with whom..! With my parents ( Hard to believe, but no other way..)...As my BMW failed that day :P, took chennai's common transport...BMW to MTC ..YEAH....It happens!...recession effect!!!
I was standing in one corner, desparately waiting to grab a seat....A lady was found busy with her bags, and restless in her seat..Hoping that she was about to get down, i moved towards her..
To my despair she sat again firmly....Now that another women got down...Before i could reach there, another gal was smart enough to occupy the seat....It was a kinda of musical chair...
I was blaming the system, why there isnt a token system for seating....First in should be the first to occupy, if a LAST IN person occupies the seat, it would kick them and say, " Dont be sellfish"...HA HA...too much of bluffing isnt...it..let me stop here then.....
Finaly i reached the sea shore....My dad firmly holding me, reminded me only of my childhood days....good old ones...doesnt mean that am pretty old now!!!
I am always a kid for my dad isnt it...!
My mom was sitting in the shore when we were enjoying the cool breeze and the waves...Then it was my turn to look after the slippers!!!... I was sitting, happily watching my parents....That was a big moment to watch....
Slowly walking, bajjis tempted me...Could one miss the mologa bajji..Nay....
Health consiousness lost in front of bajjis....Started with one plate mologa, then moved on to onion , aloo and plantain....Economical and awesome snack....
Slowly walked, and took the MTC...luckily i got a seat without kicking any one...
It was really a wonderful weekend!!!

New year

Clock striked 12...
Streets were buzzed with people...
New Year wishes and resolutions were heard all around...
But he silently continued picking the rags around…
Jan-1, it’s just another day for him...
Looking at the calendar was an unusual task for the little boy...
I walked silently, with heavy heart thinking….
Will there be a New Year for the tiny tot?
Will there be a new dawn for the unfortunate kid?

B'day wish

Infact it isn’t a b’day wish, I could tell it as my embarrassment.
At 12, my cell beeped.
I received a empty message from my friend.
My mobile at times doesn’t support pictures
Thinking it should be my birthday message, promptly replied with a thank you message
The next minute, couldn’t hide my embarrassment
My friend’s message “Why a thanks for a GN-Crazy?” $%^&*….

My class

Its almost a year I had dragged myself to my violin class.
Sometime I love to be there…when I play it well J
Sometime I had to push myself, to travel 10km for a 15min class..
I feel this way, when I myself couldn’t bear my so called violin note…
One day, when I saw a visually challenged girl in my class all these thoughts vanished.
Without my notes in hand, I cant play it even 2 mins..
She was playing so beautiful and with so much of ease…
Her name is saraswathi…
I felt so heavy on knowing her name…
Alas we are blessed ones….
